We offer Occupational Therapy Driver Assessment and Specialized Driver Training for NDIS participants in the Perth CBD and southern suburbs. Our services are tailored to individual needs, enhancing driving skills and independence to improve quality of life.
The Occupational Therapy assessment contains a clinical assessment and an on road trial. The whole process takes a maximum of 2 hours. During the clinical assessment, the assessor evaluates the participant’s physical, sensory and cognitive function. The on road assessment starts from a large empty car park. The process various depending on the participant’s driving experience. For instance, if the participant has never driven a car, the on road assessment will remain in the car park to focus on fundamental vehicle operational skills. Sometimes the assessor will include a passenger’s activity to further assess the participant’s process of visual information.
Our specialised driver training services are designed to accommodate individuals of all abilities, with lessons tailored to each person's unique needs. We are committed to the belief that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to learn how to drive and obtain a driver’s license, regardless of their starting point or challenges.
